Send unsolicited applications to Danish companies – try to find companies by searching on www.krak.dk “firmaer/enterprises” (you may search by location/postal code). Try contacting your embassy in Denmark or the Danish Embassy in your home country to find out which companies trade/sell to your home country.
Send unsolicited applications to companies which trade with your home country – highlight your specific competencies with your knowledge of the culture and language of your home country.
Contact the enterprises when you have sent an unsolicited application. Ask about your CV and cover letter – the enterprise may have suggestions on how to improve your application. It is also worthwhile asking if they have any knowledge of companies that might have a job for you.
Target your application to the specific job/company. What can you offer, what are your specific qualifications that are interesting to them?
Tell everybody you know that you are looking for a job – use your network – fellow students, professors, friends and family.
Learn Danish as soon as possible. If you are interested in working in Denmark, you need to know Danish. If you learn at least some Danish while you are studying, your chances of getting a job will greatly improve.
